“Life to Life, Life Everlasting” a quote of Elder David (The Beloved); and this got me thinking on the subject of life. What is life? The cars you drive? The bevy of ladies that hang around you? Your exalted pontificate? The flattering titles you wear? Or is it the designer clothes you flaunt? Or your simple family life? What really is the definition of life?
And The Elder David said, “life was never meant to end”, “death is not the opposite of life!” “Like you have anions and cations, protons and electrons, positive and negative; no! Not so for life, it has no opposite, it is just life: life to life.”
Yet many people believe that the climax of life is death, but how can that be? Who taught that? As believers of The Faith, as those purchased by The Blood shed at Calvary, our unending song should be life, for Calvary is a reality that made life and immortality possible on the earth: to them that indeed believe. So for an opposite song to have gained so much dominance in the midst of believers so called, is only an evidence that indeed, we dwell in the land of the shadow of death; it has so cast a shadow that the “Christian” has lost touch with the reality of his foundation which is Calvary.
But The Elder David said, “’dust thou art and dust thou shall return to’ had a target: the target of that curse is not the man made in the Image and Likeness of GOD but the serpent; otherwise explain the Rapture phenomenon, is that a returning to the dust?”
But a change is promised, a swallowing up of our mortality, a translation from corruption to incorruption: Life to Life! Even as promised by our LORD in St. Matthew 16:28. So then what is the meaning of life to you?
A perfect example comes into our view from The Holy Wreath: King David and that was the height. To be GOD’s Anointed and Chosen King is the highest echelon a man could attain to yet he did not attain to it, GOD chose him for it. And if GOD makes a choice, who can change it? who can turn His Hand back?
But David in that height; if it were cars, he had thousands upon thousands of chariots; women? Lots. Pleasures? Lofty! Gold and silver unquantifiable; yet in all of that height and splendid array, David had one request from GOD which stands out, from all the requests and petitions that men have ever put before GOD.
What was it? David asked GOD for life! Beyond the gold, beyond the cars, beyond the women, beyond the fame and properties and children: David desired life, he desired endlessness of days, he desired to continue evermore. Therefore if you talk about wisdom, before you see Solomon, see his father David who was his foundation, for wisdom is a property of David and his seed.
So that was David’s request for no matter what a man acquires, no matter what he gains or adds to his bounty of treasures, it all comes to an end the day he hangs on a tree. And The Elder David said, “cursed is every man that hangs on a tree; as touching that we often think that tree to mean The Cross but when a man is placed in a coffin and that thing is raised on the shoulders of undertakers or placed on a bier, what’s that? Is that not a man hanging? Where was the coffin or casket gotten from? Is it not a tree?”
But The Elder David said again, not everyone will go to meet GOD hanging on a tree. So there’s hope! And that hope is hinged upon one thing: that David’s request was answered by GOD. For The Scriptures read that GOD gave him length of days forever and ever. Did we see that happen? So The Promise of life that GOD made to David is hanging but is GOD known to keep His WORD?
Therefore David will stand some day on the earth having length of days forever, by a Covenant, and through him that Covenant will extend to humanity. So then could this be why the Rapture has not occurred? Is this phenomenon waiting for David?
In that day, David went down, so that The Saviour of all humanity can come forth as his Shoot and Offspring: JESUS being The Resurrection and The Life, JESUS being Saviour and Redeemer was all as seed of David. And did you know that the “within three days” miracle, the resurrection of our LORD JESUS was made possible because He was son of David? How?
