ABUDU – Executives of Orhionmwon local government branch of Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) were on Tuesday returned unopposed at their 6th quadrennial (8th) branch delegate conference.

The executives were sworn-in for a second term after the expiration of their 4-years tenure by 1st vice chairman of Edo state chapter of NUT, Comrade Bridget Ona at the ‘Teachers House’, Abudu, administrative headquarters of the council.

According to Ona who was the returning officer, the excos were allowed to continue in their various positions due to their stewardship.

She commended Orhionmwon NUT for the “peace, unity and love” that exist among them.

In his acceptance speech, the chairman, Mr Imaruagheru Lucky expressed appreciation to the union members for returning him back to office, with a promise to build on previous achievement.

“I promise today, before the entire teachers of Orhionmwon that i will not disappoint; i will not fail, i will lead according to the constitutional provision, and i will ensure we improve on the little we have done”, Mr Imaruagheru said

Other members of the executive include deputy chairman, Oviasogie Endurance, 1st vice chairman, Ohensuyi Jonathan, 2nd vice chairman, Okunrobo Johnbull, 3rd vice chairman, Aziken Simon, Secretary, Omaye Chukwuekwu.

Also, assistant secretary, Ufunmwen Monday, treasurer, Iyamu Juliet, financial secretary, Okunbor Odaro, social secretary, Evbayayiro Bosede, publicity secretary, Edave Harrison, and Okoro Anthony.
