Benin City – A young man Amos Akotare is on the run following alleged threat to his life by some aggrieved persons spoiling to avenge the tragic death of their son, Bobby.

Amos Akotare, a barber by circumstance following the bombing of his electronic shop in Kano by the Boko Haram insurgents, became the target of the threats because relatives of Bobby accused him of being complicit in the sudden demise of their son.

Bobby from Uromi sources say had visited Mr Akotare in his single room apartment in Benin but suddenly took ill and passed on before any help could come his way.

Bobby was said to have complained of stomach upset which later degenerated,forcing Akotare and his neighbours to rush him to the hospital where he later passed on.

Akotare’s present ordeal our source hinted stemmed from his release from police custody after autopsy report dispelled allegations and suspicions that Bobby may have been poisoned.

But Bobby’s relatives uncluding his father Chief Omouwa Vincent were said to be displeased with the outcome of police investigation, preferring however the continued detention of Akotare who was held for a month and four days by the police while investigation lasted

They were said to have sent threat messages to Akotare, threatening to deal with him accusing of bribing the police to return a verdit of non complicit in the death of his friend Bobby, a development that forced him to flee.
According to our sources,the father of late Bobby has vowed to force Akotore to bring Bobby back or join him.
