BENIN CITY – More trouble for Freebone Efe, a technician resident in Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo State as some gunmen suspected to be members of the Eiye confraternity have threatened to eliminate him should he dare to back out of group.

It will be noted that Freebone Efe who hailed from Eku, Delta state had enrolled into the Western Boys College, Benin city, Edo State where some students of the school were reported to have always flocked around him unknown that they llegedly belonged to the Eiye confraternity and have been making efforts to convince him to join them.

According to Efe’s cousin, Roland Anyomi who narrated Efe’s ordeal to our reporter, the cultists were able to wooe Efe who ignorantly heeded to their persuasion.

He said after joining them, they (the cultists) usually came to request for money from Freebone Efe, adding that Freebone Efe usually picked customers vehicles from his workshop to them to anywhere they wanted to go.

He further narrated that the boys would sometimes drink at a nearby bar without paying leaving the bills for Efe to offset.

He said trouble started for Freebone Efe when the Eiye boys on November 14, 2014 asked Freebone to take them in customer’s vehicle to one garage in Opah they allegedly stole some truck batteries and spare parts worth thousands of naira unknown to him.

Anyomi said information received indicated that Freebone had during one their sunday meetings informed the group of the missing items and vowed to back out of the group but was told that he could not as they threatened to kill him should he attempted to leave.

Not comfortable with Freebone’s position, the dreaded cultists it was gathered later busted his Auto mobile shop and carted away all materials in the shop, including those of the customers.

He added that owners of the items later came demanding for them, adding that Freebone told them that the matter had been reported at the police station for further investigation but was rebuffed by the customers who stated that with the development, they were at the risk of losing their means of livelihoods.

According to Anyomi, the situation became worst for Freebone when his mother died of higher blood pressure and his step-father, a member of the most dreaded Ogboni confraternity staging a manhunt for Freebone who alleged to have contributed to death of his mother

He lamented that Freebone has escaped to an unknowm destination for safety and cover over fear of being killed was no longer safe in the state.

As at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of Freebone Efe was still unknown.
