Poly Rector Re-Assures Students Of Adequate Infrastructure

AUCHI:  (Edo) – The Rector, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, Dr. (Mrs.) Philipa Idogho,has assured students of the institution of the  provision of adequate  infrastructure to create room for a conducive learning environment.
Dr. (Mrs.) Idogho made the assurance when the Students Union Government (SUG) led by its President, Comrade Sani Kafeel Abdulkadiri paid her a solidarity visit in her office.
She said that management would always try to ensure that there is conducive learning environment for students learn adding that no meaningful learning can be achieved by any student where there is no good environment for both teaching and learning.
While reiterating her commitment to make the polytechnic an enviable institution in the country, she thanked the SUG executive for their solidarity visit which, according to her, is a sign of appreciation of the little efforts she has put into the development of the school
Pledging to continue to work harder for the development of the institution, irrespective of distraction from any quarters, she however enjoined the students to take their studies seriously, saying that it is the ultimate reason of their being students in the institution.
The SUG President, Comrade Abdulkadiri had said that their visit became necessary as to give the Rector and her management team encouragement in the face of obvious damaging publication by a magazine which is believed and aimed at tarnishing the Rector’s image.
He said it has been observed that the magazine in all its three editions, focused on the Rector and other key management officials in the course of their duties by publishing distasteful stories, while failing to acknowledge the monumental achievement the school had recorded under the leadership of the present Rector.
According to him, “the consecutive serial attacks on the Rector appear malicious and selfish and suggest the antics of somebody on a vengeance mission“, he added.
He however urged the Rector to be strong and to remain focused and to continue with her good works in the belief that Almighty God reward good works with His blessings.
Comrade Abdulkadiri on behalf of the SUG executive and the entire Auchi polytechnic students pledged their total loyalty and support for the Rector and management team in ensuring that there is peace and unity among the staff and students of the polytechnic.
