Enugu – Njiko Igbo Forum, Igbo socio- political organisation, has called on the Federal Government to initiate dialogue with agitators of Biafra before it becomes cancerous like Boko Haram.
President of the forum, Rev. Okechukwu Obioha, made the call on Wednesday in Enugu at a meeting with a theme: “Attaining the task of offering selfless services to Nigeria as a nation and Ndigbo in particular.’’
He called for the immediate and unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu the Director of Radio Biafra and other detainees of Biafra Zionists Movement.
He said that the activities of Boko Haram insurgents were more brutal and harmful than the harmless pro-Biafra agitators.
In his speech at the meeting, Col. Humphrey Chukwuma (rtd), called on Igbos living in Igbo land to cultivate the habit of planting a garden in any available land space.
He also called on Igbos to engage in agriculture.
Chukwuma urged the Federal Government to fast track the process of implementation the report of the 2014 national conference.
He said that the Igbos consider the report of the conference as the only panacea to peace and true federalism.
