A student named, George Nosa Junior has been on the run for fear of been killed by brothers of one Ifada Stanley now late, both students of Auchi Polytechnic for his involvement in a homosexual act that led to the untimely death of his friend Stanley, the act is a taboo and an abominable act against the locals tradition.
It is on record that same sex “amorous relationship” homosexuality is totally banned in Nigeria and attracts a minimum of 14 years imprisonment with hard labour and this became law under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in 2014.
Investigative journalists who visited the students residence quarter after the death of Stanley, gathered that, George Nosa Junior and Stanley gained admission into a higher institution, a polytechnic located in Auchi close to Benin.
A student at the hostel quarter named, Richard Ogbimi, next door to George and late Stanley hostel room confirmed that, the event occurred on October 29th 2015, he explained that George and Stanley lived in the same hostel room, that they were room-mates caught having sex without shutting their window unknowingly, knowing fully that same sex is an abominable act and a taboo and also punishable in Nigeria.
Ogbimi further explained that, George and Stanley were dragged out of their hostel room and angry mob’s ponced on them, they were seriously beaten but fortunate, George struggled and escaped living Stanley behind in the hands of the crowdy angry mobs, he lamented that, Stanley was beaten, suffered serious degree of injuries as a result of stones thrown at him which led to his untimely death before police arrived at the scene, he narrated in tears.
He further told reporters that, George hid till night at an unknown location at the outskirt of the town and joined a night bus to Sakponba, Benin city where her mother resides.
George uncle named Osasu, who resides in Benin told newsmen that family members of Late Stanley whom were aggrieved traced George from Auchi to Benin, met his absence and angrily beat the mother mercilessly to stupor before neighbors could intervened, she was then taken to hospital by sympathizers as the search for George continues by police intelligence unit, it was also gathered that, Late Stanley brothers were equally hunting for George to take revenge.
Osasu, further revealed that, George was the only son of his parents and his whereabout is unknown since he left her mothers residence to avoid been killed by Stanley brothers, who were highly desperate for revenge.
It would be recalled that George is accused of been associated to the cause of Stanleys death.
