A Benin City-born farmer, Mr. Odeh Efosasere, Residing at No 3 Iyamu lane off Ekhragbon street by Pz road off Sapele road Benin City Edo State,has reportedly gone into hiding following alleged threats from members of an Occultic Ritualist group he was said to have been introduced to several years ago.
Sources claimed that Efosasere became associated with the group after being invited to join what was presented as a social organisation offering financial assistance and business opportunities. According to the sources, he later discovered that the group was allegedly involved in Ritualist occult activities and resisted attempts to participate in its operations.
It was further alleged that a confrontation occurred at Ogheghe community, along Benin Sapele road between Edo State were Mr Efosasere and the group’s leadership after he refused to comply with certain directives, prompting him to flee for fear of retaliation.
The ensuing altercation reportedly resulted in injuries to the leader (name withheld), who was later confirmed to have died, prompting Efosasere to flee the location for fear of both possible prosecution and retaliatory threats from members of the alleged occult Ritualist network.
Sources also alleged that the threats persisted long after the incident. They claimed that suspected members of the Ritualist occultic group appeared at his family residence in Benin City for random check and search of him.
An eye Witnesses reportedly alleged that the assailants came in search of him and scattered the entire programme asking the family members to provide Mr Odeh Efosasere or else the family we never know peace.The suspects were said to have fled the scene before security operatives arrived.According to an eye witness, the said Ritualist occultic group,came in with dangerous weapons and different chaims.
Family members maintain that the incident heightened fears for Efosasere’s safety and that of his relatives following the murder accusation allegedly carried out by Efosasere and even his Ritualist occultic group.
Efforts to obtain comments from the individuals named in the allegations were unsuccessful.
As at press time, no official statement had been issued by law enforcement authorities regarding the claims, which remain unverified and under investigation.
