A man simply identified as Osadebe has allegedly died from a mob attack after he was caught in the act of homosexual practice with one Okoduwa Michael , a musical entertainer in Benin city.
The sacrilegious and forbidden act of homosexual practice between Okoduwa Michael and his partner was exposed when Osadebe ,a Lagos-based showbiz promoter travelled down to Benin city to meet with his new found partner after they had previously met each other at a musical concert organized in Edo state in 2015 , the Nigerian Observer gathered.
An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said that on 11th February 2016 neighbours were alerted by a loud scream from the apartment of Okoduwa Michael whose family had gone out to an undisclosed location.
According to the source, when a neigbhour rushed down to the room where the loud scream emanated from ,with fear in her mind , she met two naked men who purportedly were performing the sacrilegious homosexual practice.
The sight of the two naked men , according to the source , further attracted more neighbours who were eager to catch a glimpse of Okoduwa Michael and his homosexual partner Osadebe in the act as they all rushed down to his apartment .
As more angry neighbours gathered ,the two men were already being beaten up violently by an angry mob of youths who condemned the act of homosexual practice in the community as a desecration of the land.
However, reports further revealed that as they were being violently beaten up by the angry mob , Okoduwa Michael dashed off and ran away while Osadebe died on the spot before the arrival of the police.
Meanwhile, elders of the community who were interviewed, said that an abominable act had been committed by Okoduwa Michael, adding that this sacrilegious homosexual practice was capable of attracting the wrath of the ancestors on the community as their land had been desecrated.
The elders who spoke through Mr.Ogbeide John further said that while members of the community patiently await the outcome of the investigation by the police, the process of cleansing the land which requires Okoduwa Michael to walk round the entire community and all markets within the environs naked must be performed to avert the wrath of the ancestors.
Also reports further revealed that as they were being violently beaten up by the mob , Okoduwa Michael dashed off and ran away while Osadebe died on the spot before the arrival of the police.
Meanwhile, the police in a statement made available to the Nigerian Observer,said a corpse of a man who died from a mob attack had been deposited at the local mortuary.
The statement further revealed that the victim of the mob attack was with another man identified as Okoduwa Michael when the mob unleashed violence on them over their alleged involvement in homosexual practice in the apartment of Okoduwa Michael in Benin city leading to the death of one Osadebe and forbidden his partner escaping.
The police said while its investigation into the case was still ongoing, Okoduwa Michael whose whereabouts is unknown has been declared wanted for his involvement in homosexual practice
