Benin City – The mother of a popular politician ( names withheld) with a reputation for violence and thuggery has reportedly been hospitalized and even rumored to be dead after allegedly pushed down the staircase by a driver to the renowned politician who was identified as Charles Solomon. According to our investigation, the young man inadvertently ran into the old woman while trying to run away from the wife of the unnamed politician who, according to a source that pleaded anonymity, was in the process of seducing the said Charles Solomon.
Our sources further revealed that the said Charles Solomon who is a mechanic turned driver, has come to the house that morning to collect the car key from the wife of his boss, the politician only to be lured into having sex with the boss’ wife. The young man, however, vehemently refused to be drawn and tempted into it because of the fearsome reputation of his boss and for conscience sake. The woman, on realizing that the said Charles Solomon was not going to acquiesce to the immoral affair, decided to blackmail the young man by screaming that she was about to be raped. On hearing the screams, the young man was said to have ran towards the exit stairs only to accidentally collide on the staircase with the old mother of his boss who must have been drawn by the screams. Our sources further revealed that the young man bolted away from the house without much as a glance of the old woman who tumbled down the stairs and was rumored to be dead though as at press time that fact has not been confirmed,
Our investigation further revealed that the notoriously ruthless politician was said to have gone apoplectic about the whole turn of event, not just the alleged infidelity of his wife but most importantly the condition of his mother and has reportedly vowed to eliminate the said Charles Solomon whom he blames for the condition of his mother.
According to information reaching us, the recent burning down of a house in a village close to Uromi belonging to the uncle of Charles Solomon is not unconnected to the incident that happened in Benin. In fact, a close source that spoke to our news crew on the condition of utmost secrecy has it that the arson was ordered by the politician cum transport union boss who has also ordered a manhunt for Charles Solomon.
The whereabouts of the said Charles Solomon has not yet been ascertained as at press time but it is been rumored about the the politician has had him killed and secretly buried while others say the young man has fled the country for good for fear of his life.
