WARRI – A 20-year- old man, identified as Murphy Jones, was last week, April 12th, 2016 declared wanted over his alleged perpetual involvement in homosexual act.
It was gathered that Murphy Jones, after the demise of his mother, who was earlier adopted, moved in with his friend simply identified as Kingsley Edafe and were living together in a rented apartment in Warri, Delta State. Jones was alleged to have been engaging young same –sex partners into the act.
Jones, it was learnt, was rarely seen around female folks but males and were always seen sneaking into their apartment eliciting suspicions that he was into homosexual practice.
According to multiple sources, Jones, who is a Welder by training, on that fateful day engaged Kingsley in same-sex affair in the one-room apartment without the door being locked and unknown to them that an ambush has been laid for them by the landlord.
While they were having sexual intercourse, the owner of the rented apartment, who does not want his name in print, caught them red–handed and immediately alerted the community leaders, including vigilante group, elders and angry youths, who viewed the act as a taboo in the land.
Jones and Kingsley, according to the sources, were given the worst ill-treatment of their lives before alerting the police who swiftly arrived the scene.
But for his narrow escape, Jones would have been killed in the process, however, Kingsley who was already in a coma could not resist the pain as he gave up before the arrival of the police.
Further finding revealed that the escaped Jones ran to his friend in Abuja where he was later trailed to by the police acting on a tip –off.
The unconfirmed sources further revealed that Murphy Jones managed to escape from there to an unknown destination before he was declared wanted.
