The sudden rise in cases of extreme sexual perversion common among teenage youths particularly amongst those of secondary school age in Nigeria calls for urgent concern amongst governments, stakeholders and parents alike in stemming the ugly trend with stiffer punitive measures.

Recently, the media was awash with offensive reports of young teenage boys and girls of secondary school age secretly indulging in the unholy and sacrilegious practice of same-sex practice under the watch of constituted authorities without any suspicion.

However, the case of Idemudia Samson and Jude, his roommate in May 2016 in a boarding school ( names withheld) in Edo State when they were apprehended by security guards on duty calls around hostels to check if all the students were already in their respective rooms, would easily sum up the level of moral decadence amongst youths in the society.

The two male students were caught off guard on May 15th and dragged out by the security on duty as other students angrily ventilated their anger on them by hurling stones and other dangerous objects at them before the arrival of the house master and the school Principal, it was understood.

Also, it was gathered that the two students were immediately hospitalized under police custody for 3 days owing to the critical condition they were exposed to following the violent nature of the fierce response of other students to the sacrilegious act by the two males.

However, Jude was said to be lying critically unconscious at the medical facility while Idemudia Samson was slowly responding to treatment as his mother who sat close to his bedside was yet to recover from the shock of the news of her son mobbed over his sheer involvement in the sacrilegious practice between the two roommates.

Following their continued stay at the medical facility, it was gathered that Idemudia Samson escaped under the guise of a woman dressed in female clothes from the medical facility while his mother remained at the medical facility.

Findings however revealed that the mother of Idemudia Samson was however taken into custody for further interrogations when it became clear that her son had escaped the wrath of the law for breach of relevant provisions of the Same-sex Prohibition Act which stipulates 14-years imprisonment upon conviction.

In the same vein, his roommate, Jude following the sudden escape of his partner, was expected to be taken into custody after his recovery for commencement of investigation into the alleged case of same-sex practice for prosecution in accordance with the provisions of the law but was tragically pronounced dead, it was confirmed .

Recent findings in Ikpoba Okha local government area of Edo State however revealed that Idemudia Samson inadvertently had his education permanently truncated owing to his involvement in the sacrilegious practice as he continues to run away from the wrath of the law in a desperate attempt to escape arrest and eventual long years of imprisonment upon conviction as he still remains wanted by the police.

Meanwhile, a police statement made available to journalists in Benin City urged members of the general public with any useful information that could lead to the arrest of the fleeing Idemudia Samson to report at the nearest police station.
