BENIN CITY- Operatives of the Edo State Police Command as well as the family of Mr. Adagbonye have declared Miss Izogie Tessy, ‘f’, wanted over alleged murder of one Miss Sandra Adagbonye.
The suspect, Tessy who the police said is on the run was alleged to have administered a deadly substance (concussion) suspected to be pregnancy terminated herbal medicine to Sandra which led to her (Sandra) death following excessive bleeding.
According to a police press release issued yesterday by State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Chidi Nwanbuzor on behalf of the Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Olusegun Odumosun, following the confessional statement of his daughter ( Sandra) on her hospital bed before her demise, Mr. Adagbonye reported a case of murder which occurred on May 20, 2016 against one Izogie Tessy.
The statement disclosed that upon receiving the complaint from Mr. Adagbonye, the police swooped into action with the intent to arresting the suspect, Izogie Tessy, adding that several attempts made by the command were unsuccessful as Tessy according the police on learning about the death of her friend Sandra ran away from her house.
DSP Nwanbuzor, however, appealed to members of the public who may have useful information that would lead to the arrest of the fleeing murder suspect, Izogie Tessy to approach the nearest police station, assuring that handsome reward awaits such informant.
It was learnt by Our Crime Correspondent that the death of Sandra who multiple sources confirmed was the only daughter of her parents have thrown the family into pains and agony.
It was gathered further that the family of the deceased Sandra especially her father, Mr. Adagbonye, an influential politician in the country have allegedly vowed to avenge the death of his only daughter by killing Tessy whenever she is seeing around the country and even beyond.
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts and safety of Izogie Tessy remain unknown.
