BENIN CITY- Operatives of the Surveillance Unit of the Edo Police Command have commenced discreet investigation into allegation of attempted felony in Benin City.
One Erorewaen Etinosa Prosper of Nomayo Street, Off Upper Sokponba road, Benin City had reported the case to the Police on May 25th, 2016.
This was contained in a police release endorsed by the command Public Relations Officer DSP Stephen Onwochei and made available to our reporter in Benin City, yesterday.
According to the statement the complainant stated that his biological father one Pa. Ererowaen Osama had in connivance with his occult members severally attempted to forcefully initiate him into the Reform Ogboni Fraternity.
“That he conspired with other members of his secret cult across the country who are even threatening with death if he fails to accept membership”. The statement added.
It further stated that investigation would reveal the violation or otherwise of the complainant’s fundamental human rights as enshrined in Nigeria constitution.
