The Edo House of Assembly has directed the management of Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC)to employ Miss Vivan  Eserihienrhien as compensation for her electrocuted twin sister Vero Eserihienrhien by BEDC cable.
This was contained in the house resolution passed in Benin

Miss Vero Eserihienrhien was electrocuted earlier in the year by BEDC cable which submerged in water .
The resolution was sequel to the consideration of the reports of the house committee on Women Affairs and Social Development.
The chairman of the committee, Mrs Elizabeth Ativie said during the consideration of the report that the victim was an undergraduate of the Delta state university.
Ativie said the victim was electrocuted by the BEDC cable submerged in water on her way back from school.
She said the committee discovered that the management of BEDC were not present during the burial of the victim.
The committee recommended that the BEDC should compensate the family by employing the twin sister.
The house unanimously adopted the committee’s recommendation
The speaker, Justin Okonoboh therefore directed that copies of the resolution be sent to the management of BEDC and the governor for immediate action.
