A Sales’ Representative at one of the popular liquor stores in Benin City, Edo State Capital, Mr Okoduwa Matthew, narrowly escaped death on November 5th, 2016 when a secret love affair between him and his boss’s daughter, Miss Ebade Imoni, was revealed.

32-year-old Okoduwa’s travail, according to sources, began when the owner of the stores, Mr Godwin Imoni, exposed the secret date with his 21-year-old daughter who lives in Erediauwa Street, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.

Imoni, Senior police Officer in the State while reliving his encounter with reporters, accused Okoduwa of “inappropriate conduct, and threatened to deal with him ruthlessly for causing his family distress in order to keep his consensual desires with his daughter alive.

This Newspaper can reports that Okoduwa fled to safety after Mr Imoni in his pang of grief had allegedly framed him for rape.

His action was widely described as an archaic view of the world especially in the absence of workplace law that prohibits employees from dating the daughter of an employer in Nigeria.

Okoduwa whereabouts, has become a source of worry to his family and despite repeated assurances by the law enforcement agency to intervene.
