An ex-member of the Eiye confraternity, Omokaro Robinson Isibor is allegedly on the run for his life after members of another rival cult group reportedly killed his mother in Benin city.

The Nigerian Observer gathered that Omokaro Robinson Isibor renounced membership of the group in 2015 ,three years after joining the group.

It is understood that cult clashes in the state has led to deaths of many relatives,friends and loved ones including the mother of ex- member of the Eiye confraternity.

According to information gathered, the ex-cultist  and his immediate family members were  under more threats of attacks after the death of his mother in the hands of fellow cultists.

The Nigerian Observer was reliably informed by a source in the family who spoke on condition of anonymity that the spate of attacks and killings resulting from cult clashes in the state prompted family members of the Omokaro Robinson Isibor to take on their heels to an unknown destination.

  It was also gathered that the ex-cultist was also  on the run for his life after police arrested some cultists involved in a recent attack in which over 15 persons were confirmed dead.

  The death of the 15 persons and the subsequent pronouncement by police that all cultists in the state will be  arrested , according to the source,informed the decision of the ex-cultist to go into hiding.

  Meanwhile, secret cult clashes between other rival cult group in the state have resulted in the untimely deaths of youths in their numbers.

The police in a statement signed by its spokesman DSP. Peter Nwochei ,said that all suspected cultists in the state will be rounded up , arrested and charged to court for unlawful possession of firearms and murder.

  It further said that the police has commenced with investigation into the murder case of the mother of one Omokaro Robinson Isibor by cultists .

  The statement further said that any member of the public with information that would help the police arrest Omokaro Robinson Isibor should come forward as he has  been declared wanted as the prime suspect in the murder.
