AUCHI- Following the refusal to honour its invitation over alleged murder of Mr. Anayakhi Patrick ‘m’, the Police Authorities in Edo State have declared one Mr. Anayakhi Michael ‘m’ wanted.

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Moses Nkombe made the disclosure to newsmen in Benin City yesterday.

He said that the now at large Michael in three different occasions has refused to honour police invitation, adding that the Edo State Police Command frowned at such alleged disobedience.

He explained further that the police through three separate letters with reference numbers; CR:3000/EDS/BZ/VOL.3/14, CR: 300/EDS/BZ/VOL.3/14 and CR:3000/EDS/BZ/VOL.3/67, dated 14/06/2015, 11/07/3016 and 10/02/3017 respectively, had invited the murder suspect but failed to honour any of the invitations, hence, the need for the police to declare the murder suspect, Anayakhi Michael wanted.

The police, however, called on members of the public who may know the whereabouts of the said Anayakhi Michael ‘m’ to approach the nearest security formation in the country, assuring that such information would be treated with strict confidentiality.

It was gathered that trouble started in 2014 following the death and completion of burial rites of Micheal’s father who left behind his only house for his son, Michael.

According to source who pleaded anonymity: “Micheal’s uncle Mr. Anayakhi Patrick went to Micheal’s father’s house at No.22, Jatu Road, Auchi, Etsako Local Government Area of Edo State in the morning of June 13, 2015, and told Michael and his mother to leave the house for him, saying he (Patrick) was the rightful person to inherit his late brother’s house.

“While Micheal’s mother was preventing him from gaining entrance into the room of her son Micheal, Mr. Patrick aggressive pushed Micheal’s mother to the ground where she sustained various injuries.

“This development infuriated Michael as he rushed out of the room and engaged his uncle in fighting, during which Mr. Patrick later fell to the ground with his head.

“He was immediately rushed to an hospital in Benin City for medical attention where he later died.

“While Micheal had gone to the hospital to check on his wife who put to bed, the police later came to the house with a view to arresting Micheal over the death of his uncle, Mr. Anayakhi Patrick”, our source revealed.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of Anayakhi Micheal was unknown.
