A 19-year old teenage boy and his friend have been declared wanted by the police for desecrating the laws of the land which forbids homosexuality or lesbianism by anyone in the society.
The Nigerian Observer gathered that the 19-year old teenager, Osasiemen Austine who resides at 101 Ekewan road in Benin city was caught by a neighbor having sex with another teenage boy in his room on March 5,2017.
The homosexual tendencies of the teenage boy in the neighbourhood according to a source who pleaded anonymity had been a source of concern for other parents who did not want their children defiled by Austine.
This however raised the suspicion of others in the neighborhood who were on the lookout to catch him the act.
On March 5,2017 as fate would have it,his friend, Efosa came around and were both in the room having sex each other when a neighbor,the mother of Efosa who had been monitoring the homosexual tendencies of her son and his friend barged into his room and caught them in the act.
The two teenage boys according to the source were brutally beaten up by angry youths who were infuriated by the desecration committed and decided to take the teenagers to the elders council.
The leader of the elders council after wide consultation with others invited the police and handed over the boys who were arrested.
In Nigeria there laws which are totally against same-sex either as homosexuals or lesbians,as offenders could serve punitive measures as high as 14 imprisonment upon conviction in court.
The information gathered further revealed that the two teenage boys were however detained and released pending the outcome of the investigation into the case after which they would be charged to court.
Police after its investigation could not provide the two teenage boys in court as they were said to have gone into exile to escape the wrath of the law.
