Benin city – A middle aged man Mr Harrison Atomon is now a fugitive of harmful traditional occult practices in Benin following his refusal to succeed his late father Mr Daniel Atomon who was said to have died on March 28, 2017 as head of the dreaded Aimuolimwindede secret society.

Harrison has since fled his community, Urhonigbe in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State during the burial ceremony which took place at his home town in Urhonigbe on June 9th, 2017 as he is feared to have been abducted by the powerful cult groups after attempts to forcibly initiate him into the cult failed.

Aimuolinmhindede is believed to have affinity with the deadly Neo Black Movement of Africa aka Black Axe confraternity and its female version, Jezebels.

It was gathered that during the burial ceremony of his late father on June 9th 2017, Harrison reportedly rejected all entreaties to partake of the initiation rituals claiming it was as a result of his strong Christian faith.

Sources close to the family told our correspondent that Harrison narrowly escaped being killed by members of the violent secret society at the funeral of his late father, following serious arguments between him as the deceased first’s son and the cult council.

The group had insisted on taking charge of the process however
trouble started when the secret society having failed to secure the cooperation of Harrison in the devious plots insisted on carrying out the ‘entitled ‘ dismembering of some vital parts of his father’s corpse without any explanation.

“Harrison objected to that demand that no part of his late father’s remains be tampered with and was supported by some of his colleagues of NSCDC and friends who were inadvertently drawn into the argument.

But before anyone could know what was happening, some members of the secret society supported by armed security personnel ostensibly drafted to protect the mourners turned their guns to the defenceless Harrison.

They even warned him of the dire consequences if he failed to comply and respect the wish of his late father which they were around to enforce.

It was learnt that ‘” they would have killed him if not that he applied wisdom, assured them of his willingness to cooperate with them as he asked first be allowed to use the restroom.

That was how he escaped even as the cult men not giving up in their search for him , snatched his (Harrison’s) little son Oghosa Harrison from the arms of his mother and forcefully subjected him to the rituals in Harrison’s stead
It was gathered that the mother of the child Miss Franca Harrison couldn’t bear the scene and collapsed on spot while her child was taken from her for the rituals. She however regained consciousness through the help of her church members who were also present at the funeral and this led to pandemonium as friends and well wishers fled the scenario

Attempts by our reporter to confirm the alleged involvement of serving armed personnel in the obnoxious act proved abortive as the State Police Public Relations Officer Chidi Nwabuzor said he was not aware of such incident.

However many Nigerians believe that since most of them are members of the cult group, patriotic duty most times among security operatives often give way in the face of cult allegiance.
