The Edo state police command has arrested and detained a suspect, Omoregie Andrewbeat over the alleged murder of Amandi on July 10th,2017.
A statement by the police made available to journalists in Benin city revealed that on July 10,2017 ,Mr.Amandi was allegedly murdered at about 1:30am following an armed robbery attack.
The robbery attack by unknown gunmen took place at 7 Oloton street ,off upper mission extension,in Uteh community early morning of July 10th,2017 while he was away to Warri,Delta state.
The police in the statement further said that that some arrest have been made adding the arrested suspects would be charged to court following the completion of investigation into the case .
Meanwhile our correspondent was told by neighbours in the community that the alleged murder of Amandi on July 10,2017 was by some unknown gunmen who robbed the deceased before he was killed.
The Nigerian Observer further gathered that the prime suspect ,Omoregie Andrewbeat who lives in the same community with the deceased Amandi was away to Delta state for business purpose.
It was understood that he returned home on July 14th,2017 and was arrested by the police in the course of its investigation into the alleged murder.
Meanwhile, the alleged suspect Omoregie Andrewbeat is currently held in prison custody without trial for the alleged murder of Amandi.
