Christology: Jesus, our Healing Guest

A Guest is a visitor or even a companion. You must have received so many guests in your home but there is a Guest with a difference. He is not just an ordinary visitor, he is also our Divine companion and Healing guest.  Any house he enters does not remain the same.

In the gospel of Luke 14:1-6 Jesus visited the house of a ruler. He was not just there for selfish relaxation. As he was in the house of this ruler he saw a man with dropsy, he took him and healed him. Child of God, or Lord Jesus Christ is visiting your home today. As soon as he arrives all the sick people in your home will receive their healing. Your home will never be the same and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Inspirational Message:   A divine visitor is one who brings healing in any home he visits: Jesus is our Divine Visitor

Prayer for Divine Visitation:  Heavenly father, when your son, our Lord Jesus Christ visited the home of the Pharisee he brought healing to the sick and joy to the depressed. Lord, we have so many sick people in our homes. As your Son visits our homes, we know that our homes will never be the same. welcome Lord to our homes and may you remain with us forever in Jesus name – Amen!

Prophetic Message:  You are a Covenantal Child

In his letter to the Romans 9:1-5, St. Paul described the Israelites as covenantal people. “They are Israelites, and to them belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises… according to their flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all.” Child of God, do you know that by the virtue of your baptism you are a new Israel? Do you know that you are sons and daughters of the Most High God? Do you know that you are a covenantal child of God? Do you know that all the promises God made to you must surely come to pass? Do you even know that with Christ Jesus, goodness and mercy shall follow you and you shall dwell in the house of the Lord, forever and ever – Amen!

Christology:  Jesus, the Master of Humility

Our Lord Jesus Christ was not just a humble Messiah he was also the Master of humility. He was also the Master of humility. He taught his followers the importance of humility. In the gospel of Luke 14:1-11, when he visited the house of a Pharisee, he used the medium to educate the people around him on the importance of humility. Using a parable he told them, When you are invited by anyone to a marriage feast, do not sit in a place of honour… “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Our Lord Jesus Christ humbled himself but God exalted him and gave him the name that is above every other names. Child of God, as you humble yourself the Lord will surely exalt you and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Inspirational Message:  Humility is the surest path to greatness. If you want to be great then try to be humble.

Prayer for the Spirit of Humility: Almighty and ever living God, your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, humbled himself but you exalted him high above all. With his life and teachings, he taught us the importance of humility. Lord, deliver us from the spirit of pride and arrogance. Make us humble as your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ is humble. Grant this through the same Christ our Lord – Amen!

Prophetic Message: Your Gifts are Irrevocable

Our God is unchangeable. He is a faithful God. If God, calls you, your calling is forevermore. When God blesses you; your blessing is forevermore. In his letter to the Romans 11:29 St. Paul declares, “The gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.” Child of God, all the good things God has given you cannot be taken away. They are irrevocable! If you are a married couple, your marriage is forever. If you are a priest or even a religious, your vocation is irrevocable. Even the crown of glory that is waiting for you on the last day is irrevocable. You are blessed forever in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, our Teacher and Master

There are so many teachers in the world but there is only one Teacher. His name is Jesus! There are so many masters in the world; yet there is only one Master. His name is Jesus! In the gospel of Matthew 23:1-12 “You are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called masters, for you have one master, the Christ.” Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Teacher of teachers and the Master of masters. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Inspirational Message:  There are so many teachers in the world but there is one Teacher, He is the Teacher of teachers. His name is Jesus!

Prayer for the spirit of Humility: Heavenly Father, your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ said to us, his disciples, that whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Lord, we cannot humble ourselves without your grace. Fill us with the spirit of humility and as we humble ourselves may your name be glorified through Jesus Christ our Lord – Amen!

Prophetic Message: God is your Father

A Child without a father is either an orphan or a bustard. Children of God are neither orphans nor bastards. God is our Father! In Malachi 1:8-10 the prophet raised a fundamental question, “Have we not all one father? Has not one God created us? Why then are we faithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?” Child of God, even if you have no earthly Father, you are not a bastard. You are not even an orphan. The Most High God is your Father. As long as God remains your Father, you will lack anything. He will provide and sustain you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, our Special Guest of Honour

Most parties or banquets usually have special guests. Among all the special guest there is usually a special guest of honour. Usually the special guest of honour is someone whom everybody in the party look up to. The special guest of honour is usually the one who declares the party open through an opening speech. In the gospel of Luke 14:12-14 our Lord Jesus Christ was presented as a Special Guest of honour. In his opening speech he declared: When you give a banquet, do not just invite only those who are close to you but also the poor, the lame and the blind, who could not afford to pay you back. By so doing, God will surely reward you and it shall be well with you, in Jesus name – Amen!

Inspirational Message: A rich banquet is one that is made up of the rich, the poor, the old and the young. For variety is indeed the spice of life!

Prayer for Divine Banquet: Heavenly Father, your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ revealed the kingdom of heaven as a place of joyful banquet and celebration. You are our Chief Host! We are looking forward to this divine banquet, a day when we shall all celebrate with you, your Son and in union with the Holy Spirit in that heavenly banquet where you live and reign forever and ever – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You will surely receive Mercy

Our God is a merciful Lord. He is not a military or wicked God. He is full of mercy and abounding in love. In his letter to the Romans 11:29-36 St. Paul wrote, ” Just as you were once disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may receive mercy.” Child of God, no matter how sinful you may be, there i still hope for you. All you need to do is to repent and promise God never to go back to your sinful way of life, the Lord will surely forgive you. He will show you mercy and it shall be well with you, in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology:   Jesus, the Master of Heavenly Banquet

For the past few days we have been reflecting on heaven as a place of banquet, a place of eternal celebration. Today in the gospel of Luke 14:15-24, our Lord Jesus Christ was presented as the Master of heavenly banquet. He is the man who gave a great banquet. He has invited so many people. Most of those who were invited into this heavenly banquet disappointed themselves. They gave all kinds of silly excuses. He later ordered that the poor, the maimed, the blind and the lame should be invited instead. And that was exactly what happened. Indeed, heaven is not just for the rich or for the church goers, it is for all! Child of God, there is still room for you in this heavenly banquet.  Heaven is your home. As long as Jesus is concern, nobody can drive you away. As you prepare for this heavenly banquet may God richly bless you in Jesus name – Amen!

Inspirational Message: Do not underrate anyone. The people you value so much may not be available for you when you need them whereas the people you underrate will always be available for you, even when you don’t need them.

Prophetic Message:  You are Gifted

Every human being is decorated with gifts and talents. Most people are not aware that they are gifted. Ignorance is a indeed disease. Even among those who know that they are gifted only a few are able to make good use of their gifts. In his letter to the Romans 12:5-16, St. Paul wrote, “Brethren: We, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them.” We, children of God, are gifted in different ways. Child of God, you are well loaded! You are loaded with gifts and talents. From today, you shall discover your gifts and you shall make good use of your gifts. As you do so, it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the great Architect

An Architect is a building Engineer. He is a designer or if you like, a planner. An architect knows everything about building.  Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Master of Architects.  He is the Master Designer.

In the Gospel of Luke 14:25-33 our Lord Jesus Christ applies his architectural knowledge in his preaching. He asked his followers, “Which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build, and was not able to finish.” This is wisdom in action! Planning is very important not only in building but in every sphere of life. Those who fail to plan have planned to fail. Child of God,  as you plan with our Lord Jesus Christ you will surely succeed and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Inspirational Message: Planning is the first stage to success. Without planning you are most likely to fail.

Prayer for Divine Plan: Heavenly Father, before you created man you planned with your co-creators when you said, “Let us make man in our image…” You also assured us through the prophet Jeremiah 29:11 that your plan for us is for our welfare and not for evil. Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, has taught us the importance of planning. Without planning we will never succeed in life. Give us the grace to plan with you so as to succeed with you, through Christ our Lord – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You Shall be a giver and not a borrower

A debtor does not enjoy freedom until he clears all his debt. God does not creator us to be indebted to anyone. Instead, as he declares in the book of Deuteronomy 28:12 “You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.” In his letter to the Romans 13:8 St. Paul declares, “own no one anything except to love one another.” Child of God, as long as our Lord Jesus Christ is concerned and as long as you love your fellow human beings, you are not indebted to anybody. The Lord has cancelled all your debts. Soon, people will come to borrow from you. And it shall be well with you, in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology:  Jesus, the Friends of tax collectors

Our Lord Jesus Christ did not come to the world for the rich or the righteous ones only. He came for the salvation of all. In the gospel of Luke 15:1-10 as the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear from him, the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.” Using the parable of the lost sheep Jesus proved to them that his salvation is for all, including the lost ones. There will be joy in heaven when a sinner repents. Child of God, God can never give up on you. Even if you are lost He will surely find a way to restore you. So, never you give up! Jesus is your best friend. May His name be glorified forever and ever – Amen!

Inspirational Message: People can easily give up on you but God can never give up on you. Your repentance will bring glory to God.

Prayer for the Lost Sheep: Heavenly father, You are indeed the Creator of heaven and earth. You love the world so much that you sent your only begotten Son to die and redeem those who are lost in the world. The parable of the Lost sheep presents You as a patient and loving Father who does not want any of his sheep to go astray. Lord, we have so many lost sheep in our world today. Deliver them and restore them to the sheepfold. Grant this through Christ our Lord – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You live for the Lord

whatever you do as a child of God you are doing it for the Lord. In his letter to the Romans St. Paul declares, “None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.” Child of God, you don’t belong to Satan. You don’t even belong to yourself. You belong to God. from today, you shall live for God, you shall excel in God and you shall succeed in God. Everything about you will surely bring glory to God; and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!
