Akure — A group under the aegis of Pan African Federalist Movement (PAFM), has charged Nigerian youths to support the call for the restructuring of the country.

The group gave the charge in a communiqué issued at the end of its National conference, held recently in Akure, Ondo state.

The communiqué signed by PAFM Nigeria Coordinator, Umudjere Africaman, and National Secretary, Onokpita Silva, called on Nigerian youths to aspire for political positions.

The group which admonished Nigerian youths to be patriotic and creative, urged them to desist from religious and ethnic sentiments that may lead to crisis.

PAFM Nigeria however enjoined them to develop entrepreneurial skills through setting up of micro-finance bank and other economic ventures to better their life.

While calling on government at all levels to invest more on education in the country, the group harped on the need for those in authority to eschew corruption and nepotism.

“Nigerian youths should disregard call for participation in political blackmail, snatching of ballot boxes, kidnap and assassination of politicians and other electoral malpractices”, the communiqué added.

The conference with the theme: “The Role of Nigerian Youths in Nation-building”, was attended by Youth groups, Religious leaders, Traditional rulers, politicians, amongst others.
