Suspected cultists on the trail of Imeiyekpon Daniel have destroyed his family house in Uromi,Esan Northeast local government area of Edo state as his relatives were brutally injured in the attack.
The cultists according to information made available to the Nigerian Observer were relatives of late Mr.Oseoboh who died tragically at a Sabongari park in Kano state.
The Nigerian Observer gathered that Imeiyekpon Daniel ,who was taken away to Kano state early 2013 by Mr.Oseoboh as his foster father after the death of his father, was believed to be responsible for the death of their brother.
According to a family source who did not want his name in print , the cultists were on the trail of Imeiyekpon Daniel after the tragic death of their brother in Kano state as Imeiyekpon Daniel did not return to his community after the dastardly act.
It was gathered that Imeiyekpon Daniel lived with Mr. Oseoboh ,who was responsible for his welfare and upbringing, till his tragic death in the later part of 2013 during an attack orchestrated by some unknown persons at a Sabongari park in Kano state.
Confirmed reports in the community in Uromi indicated that the suspected cultists ,who thought he was in the community ,were angered by the thought of the tragic death of their brother as they blamed Imeiyekpon Daniel for his death.
According to the source, the cultists decided to attack the family house belonging to his uncle when information reached them(cultists) that someone who looked so much like Imeiyekpon Daniel was seen around in the family house of his uncle.
The cultists ,who later discovered he was not in the house ,decided to unleash terror on the occupants of his uncle’s house thereby inflicting injuries on relatives while others who were reported to have entered into coma later gained consciousness days after the brutal attack.
The brothers of the late Oseoboh argued that had Imeiyekpon Daniel not gone to Kano state with their deceased brother,he (Oseoboh) would have still been alive till today because according to them ,he was there only source and hope of a better life .
Following the violent attack which led to the destruction of the family house of Imeiyekpon Daniel and severe injuries inflicted on his relatives in 2018, Imeiyekpon Daniel has since not returned to his community in Uromi.
Meanwhile, the brothers of the deceased Oseoboh have vowed to make Imeiyekpon Daniel pay for the death of their brother adding that they would leave nothing to chance in ensuring they apprehend the fleeing Imeiyekpon Daniel
