There is a new website called FOX9JA.com that is working hard to inform the public about the disparity in earnings and wagering at the various online casinos operating in Nigeria.
“We’ve just launched, and we are happy to help the people of Nigeria understand how online betting really works, said Habib Adeyemi, president of FOX9JA. “For years, casinos like BetKing have operated in the darkness. We want to shed some light on what is actually happening behind the advertisements so people can make responsible choices about where to place their bets.”
FOX9JA breaks down exactly what the market share is for each and every casino operating in Nigeria. This helps people understand what their money is supporting, he said.
“Players may not know that there is one casino that has 10 or 20 times more revenue than all the others,” Adeyemi said. “That kind of market penetration is truly scary. Yet there are other casinos that act as though they are as large, but in reality are only getting a small percentage of all bets laid. This is the kind of information that casinos really don’t want players to be aware of.”
Shining a light on the disparity of income will let people know where to responsibly place their bets if they really want to support the Nigerian casino business in the long term, he said.
“Too many players can be dazzled by all the advertisements out there for online bet shops,” he said. “But these ads rarely tell the whole truth. We look beyond the claims they make in advertisements and show people what’s really going on. This way, they can make an informed choice about where to place a bet.”

“When we first started this project, we were very confused by the various offers being thrown around,” he said. “But as we looked more closely patterns began to emerge. We learned some things we didn’t really expect.”
FOX9JA plans to continue investigating and to update the site on a regular basis.
“This isn’t a one-time thing for us,” he said. “This is going to be ongoing. We won’t let casinos in Nigeria operate in the dark anymore.”
FOX9JA is an independent company launched in 2019. Its goal is to look into the Nigerian online betting industry and report on the real news behind the advertisements.
