The clampdown on inmates who escaped from Oko Prison during the October 19, 2020 ENDSARS protest in Benin City by the Police has intensified.
According to reliable Police source,the escapees, who were held in the facility were involved in various criminal activities which include murder, drugs possession, kidnapping, same sex criminals, fraud, burglary and other vices
According to the Police source, there will be increase in criminal activities within Benin City and it neighbouring states.
It was learnt that one of the escapees, Okhilua Sunday,who was remanded in Oko Prison for his involvement in bisexual activities, is believed to have fled the state
Narrating the incident to our reporter,one Mr Edegbe Efosa, stated that his younger brother, Edegbe Osaruwense was introduced into same sex activities by Sunday.He stated that Osaruwense was not into homosexuality, bisexuality or there same sex activities, until he met Sunday.
He said that both Sunday and Osaruwense were caught on February 8, 2019 at the Okomu Oil Palm Company Football field,while they were making love. The incident which occurred during a football match with large crowd watching at the Company’s football field in Okomu,Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State. The abominable and shameful incident irks the spectators,who angrily pounced on the lovebirds.They were given the beating of their lives. The mob who were disgusted at their unholy and disgraceful act wanted to burn them alive,but for the timely intervention of the Okomu Oil Palm Company Security personals who whisked them away and took them to custody, before taking them to Iguobazuwa Police station and they were remanded in the Oko Prison, where they were, until the jail break on October 19, 2020 by the ENDSARS protesters.
Mr Edegbe Efosa also told our reporter that while his brother, Osaruwense also escaped,he his not comfortable with Okhilua Sunday escape,as he will continue with his evil homosexual acts. Saying that he is a danger to the society as he will lure unsuspecting young men into same sex activities.
The Police on their part has launched a massive manhunt for the escapees so that they will not be a menace to the society.
