The family house of one Otoghile Eseosa Eric in Benin City has reportedly been destroyed by an angry mob who attacked members of the family inflicting injuries of different degrees on some of the occupants before destroying the building.
It will be recalled that the family of Otoghile Eseosa Eric incurred the wrath of the angry mob comprising mainly youths who responded violently against the sacrilegious act involving one Kelly Osas , a hotel manager in an outskirt of Benin City, and Otoghile Eseosa Eric leading to the desecration of the community.
According to a source at the hotel who pleaded anonymity, the hotel manager and Otoghile Eseosa Eric were caught by the secretary of the hotel in an act of sodomy on May 28th, 2021.
It was gathered that the two adult men were caught in the act of homosexual practice in the office of the manager by an unsuspecting secretary who raised an alarm to attract the attention of youths of the community.
Confirmed sources in the community said that while Otoghile Eseosa Eric escaped through an exit door in the hotel, Kelly Osas was at the receiving end of the violent anger of the angry mob who unleashed severe torture on the defenceless manager .
The manager was however confirmed dead owing to the late arrival of the police as the hotel was immediately desserted after the alleged murder of the hotel manager at the time of this report.
Meanwhile, the corpse of the deceased hotel manager was later deposited at a local morgue pending the outcome of an investigation into the mob action, a police statement said.
The statement further stated that distress calls were received that a mob action on the life of one Kelly Osas, a hotel manager, over indecent act of homosexual practice with a fleeing man identified as Otoghile Eseosa Eric had taken place in a hotel in an outskirt of Benin City.
The police, in the statement, further assured members of the public that it will immediately commence investigation into the mob action with a view to apprehending those behind the dastardly act while assuring that the fleeing Otoghile Eseosa Eric will be made to face the full wrath of the law when arrested.
In the same vein, it was reported that the family house of the fleeing Otoghile Eseosa Eric was not spared of the violent anger of the mob who wrecked more havoc by inflicting injuries on some of the occupants in the building before destroying the entire building .
It was said that family members and other residents in the community scampered for safety to avoid the violent wrath of the mob who demanded to know the whereabouts of the fleeing Otoghile Eseosa Eric.
