The Nigerian police, Edo state command has reassured their willingness to arrest the two disgruntled elements, Mr. Okonigbe Godday Mike and Osas Issac who was caught red-handed pat – naked at Eyean residence of Mr. Okonigbe Godday Mike, Uhunmwonde local government area, Benin City Edo State.
It should be recalled that about a month ago, a case of alleged homosexuality act was said to have happened about a month ago, but it was later reported to the police division at Eyean axis of Benin city, Edo state. on the 4th of August 2021.
According to the whistleblower who is an eyewitness, who reported the matter to the divisional police officer at Eyean axis of the city, he said the incident occurred on July 9th 2021, according to the whistleblower who said he caught the two disgruntled elements Mr Okonigbe Godday mike and Osas Issac, having canal knowledge with each other inside Mr he Okonigbe Godday Mike home, he
presented a sex video, he took at the spot of the incident to the police, the video show’s that Mr okonigbe godday mike have five remarkable tattoo on his body, one on his left and rights lower arms,Two tattoos across his chest a small and a big tattoo , one at his left upper arms, he is dark in complexion, his height is about 180cm with brown eyes, black hair and a spot on his back left side, his cohort Osas Issac also have two remarkable tattoo one on his left arm, one on his upper left arm, he is dark in complexion, with a black eyes, black hair, and his height is about 178cm, with all these evidence contained in the video and our investigation showed that the suspects are actually guilty of the abominable act
According to the divisional police officer (DPO) who said they acted on information on 5th August 2021, but on arriving at the residence of Mr. Okonigbe Godday Mike, he was nowhere
to be found, he was not at home, our invesigation show that his whereabout is unknown, police was however informed by a resident in the area, that Mr. Okonigbe Godday Mike was last seen on July 13, 2021, all attempt to get him arrested failed.
While briefing newsmen including the Nigerian observer in Benin city, the (DPO) emphasized that homosexuality practices is against the Nigerian state, is punishable under the law of prohibition of same-sex marriage, the law was enacted in 2014, it carried 14-years jailed term.
The DPO states, in his words, we are on tracks, we will soon get them arrested, while reassuring the members of the public, he stated that the police will not leave any stone unturned, that they will make sure, that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
He appealed to members of the public to offer useful information, that could lead to the arrests of the two disgruntled elements to please report to the nearest police station or state police commands throughout the federation for a handsome reward.
At press time, the whereabouts of Mr. Okonigbe Godday Mike and his cohort Osas Issac remain very vague.
