One person was said to have raised the alarm, shouting “they are gay, they are gay,” which attracted the presence of more persons to the scene.

“An mob made up of mainly Muslim youths in the area soon descended on the duo, beating and clobbing them with sticks and iron rods.

” One of them was hit on the head with a heavy metal and he immediately fell down , writhing in pain. He died moments later while his partner was lucky to have escaped the wrath of the mob”, a resident in the area, Raji Rasaki to our reporter.

He further said that an identity card found on the victim by personnel of the state run vigilante group,Amotekun, revealed the identity of the second suspect as one Akindehinde Afeezola who is currently on the run.

Following a formal complain on the incident lodged by a Muslim cleric in the area, the police in Ibadan have declared the fleeing gay suspect, Akindehinde Afeezola wanted for sodomy.
