ABUDU – No fewer than 227 persons in Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode federal constituency in Edo state have benefited from a 3-day empowerment training organized by National Productivity Centre (NPC).
The training programme which was facilitated by the member representing the constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Patrick Aisowieren held simultaneously at Abudu and Eyaen communities from Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th 2021.
The participants who were drawn from across the various wards in the federal constituency were trained in liquid soap, bleach, perfume making and catering.
The training according to an official, was earlier scheduled to end on Friday 19th, but was rescheduled for Thursday 18th to save the time and resources of the participants who are coming from communities “very far away from the training venues”, hence activities scheduled for Friday (19th November) were included in Thursday’s programme.
The participants who were later awarded certificates, starter packs and N50,000 each expressed appreciation to the facilitator of the training.
“I learnt a lot; when i get back home i should be able to put into practice all I’ve learnt”, a participant from Orogho community in Ugu ward, Osariemen Courage told The Nigerian OBSERVER.
