OKADA – THE Adodo family of Oghobahon community in Ovia Northeast local government area of Edo State, say they are frustrated by the unsolved murder of their father, Mr James Omokhe Adodo, 17years after.
In a statement, a member who pleaded anonymity said, “The people who killed my brother are heartless; they wiped out his children except for Marcy Adodo, my little niece.
“They were paid assassins. They threatened him severally and on many occasions, followed him everywhere until they cowardly succeeded in killing him. Then they haunted his children claiming they (the children) were in possession of a particular “disc” which contained secrets against his political opponents.
“They ended up shooting and my niece Osayemwenre in front of her school and another of my relatives, Patience, who was killed after they set ablaze a house she was hiding for months”.
Asked if the case was ever reported, She said, “We reported to the Police at the time but for unknown reasons nothing was done, even up until now”.
“The shameless people after killing my brother set the vehicle ablaze and my father, with my uncle who was in the vehicle at the time were burnt beyond recognition”.
The said, “The truth is that it is now over 17years and despite our petitions, the gruesome murder is still unresolved. My life and that of my niece Marcy Adodo are still under threat. They are still sending assassins to haunt us”.
“As we speak, my niece Marcy is still on the run. I am hereby appealing to the public or whoever has information about her to help me to protect her. These people are still hunting for me and her. We want help. We need protection”
“I and my family are therefore using this opportunity to appeal to the Police to help us. We ask the government to also look into the matter. This is because we miss our brother, we want to be free and we want justice.
