BENIN CITY – The family of Orhue in Igbinosun Street off Upper Sokponba Road, Benin City, Edo State are now living in a state of fear and panic as members of a notorious secret cult, the Aye Confraternity are after their lives,
A close family source who told The NIGERIAN OBSERVER of the threats and harassment the family have been undergoing in the hands of the cult group narrated how their daughter,, Orhue Sonia was taken abroad by a sponsor sometimes in 2016.The daredevil cultists can to the house two days ago and razed down the family house, because the did not find anybody at home.
The family source, Orhue Oghogho, who is the elder sister of Sonia said that she stood as a guarantor for her sister and after she left for Europe, she only paid 20 percent of the agreed amount, which runs into millions of naira.
She also said that till date, Sonia has been unable to pay. Her inability to pay resulted in the sponsor (name withheld), hiring some members of Aye secret cult to harass the family and the cultists who have visited their Benin City resident several times have now vowed to kill Oghogho, who stood as guarantor for her sister, since Sonia is not around and they told the family that whenever she comes to Nigeria, they are going to eliminate her for daring her sponsor.
Why the matter have been reported to the police and investigation is going on, there are doubts in some quarters that the police cannot protect the family as the activities of this secret cult members cannot be curtailed by the police and is a known fact that some police officers are members of the the cult group
The whereabouts of Orhue Oghogho, who has been on the run since the threat to her life intensified is unknown and she has appeal to well meaning citizens to also intervene on the family behalf as her younger sister, Orhue Sonia,who the cult members has also vowed to eliminate whenever they see her is not also safe
