Homosexuality and lesbianism have been adopted by the Western, Civilized, and developed Nations as their way of life. The free World Nations have also gone further to enact a law that will protect same-sex marriage, as some citizens of these Nations have accepted it, and it’s been practiced openly without fear while others forbid it.

Today, some African Countries and their citizens have gradually begun to accept this terrible, shameless, and forbidden act despite promulgating laws to fight against this imported culture of Western Civilization.

The rise of same-sex relationships and marriages is beginning to gain momentum in this part of the World, especially in Nigeria, as some people are comfortable practicing Homosexuality despite having a law that outlawed it in Nigeria following former President Goodluck Jonathan signed the law forbidding the act in Nigeria.

Many still believe there was a conspiracy against former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s administration, which led to that Government’s failure. There are accusations that the Western Nations supported the loss due to his administration outlawing LGBTI in Nigeria, as the signing of the Bill into law marks the beginning of the end for his Government that led to his defeat in the February 2015 Presidential Election which ushered in the present administration of President Muhammad Buhari.

Homosexuality, including gay, lesbianism, Same-sex relationship, and marriage, is forbidden in our culture and tradition. This act is punishable by law if found guilty of the crime with a 14 years jail term and ten years for any group of persons that support and promotes its activities in any form. The law faced criticism from Western Nations and was seen as means to legalize the already targeted and abused LGBTI members and its group.

In collaboration with Civil Society Organizations, traditional rulers and religious leaders, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders who have all intensified efforts to arrest, prosecute and punish offenders and rid the Nation of this shameless and abominable act.

Investigation revealed that security agencies declared a total clampdown on their activities and have recorded remarkable progress and successes with the shutting down several clubs, event Centers, Bars, Restaurants, and recreational facilities used by LGBTI members.

The security agencies, including the Army, Air Force, Police, and Civil Defense Corp, have closed several Bars, Clubs, and events Centers used for homosexual and lesbian activities. One of those closed down is the popular Freedom Bar in Ethiopia West Local Government Area of Delta State after police detectives discovered that it was used for hideout by homosexuals, including gays, lesbians, and transgender people in their nefarious activities.

Several gay men and women were arrested following a midnight police raid. The Bar owner, a transgender LGBTI leader, Oterri Oghaleoghene Mairo, was on the run for several months from security forces, as the Police in Zone 5 finally arrested him.

Abimbola Shonibare, a 36yrs old gay lover whose partner is Reuben Ayodele, the President of LGBTI in Lagos, has escaped severally from the police net and is still very involved in the shameless act of homosexual activities. According to security sources, the Police are still in search of him. Reuben Ayodele, who is undergoing prosecution, is still very effective behind bars using his connection and finance to keep the group soaring in the South-South Zone and Nigeria.

Reuben Ayodele, a renowned economist who was caught early this year after three years of trailing by the Police, is still controlling the activities of homosexuals, especially in the South-South Geo-Political Region, and remains a front-line LGBTI member in Ovia South-West LGA of Edo State, where he grew up and first launched the LGBTI Oracle Centre in Igbuobazuwa, which the Police have now shot down.

He believes that Homosexuality is spiritual and that anyone, not even the Government, can’t stop gayness and that when the time comes, the gayness in you will reveal itself and that no homosexual can conceal their identity forever. Reuben Ayodele made the news reported by the Nigerian Observer Newspapers on Friday, March 4, 2022, and he is still relevant in the scheme of LGBTI.

Another Homosexual Club established by the late Kasim Wasiu, who suffered a severe attack by a violent mob, was closed. Another operated by Nathaniel Dan and Adetunji Ismail Onibiyo, Freedom for Glory Club in the Bariga side of Lagos, was also affected as the Police closed it down. Following several clamps, many gay activists were checked and chased, and many arrests were made; some escaped, including the popular Yande Idowu, while those arrested wrongly were set free.

Mr. Adetunji Ismail Onibiyo, a Muslim LGBTI activist and a former banker in one of the new generational banks, later became the Financial Secretary of Freedom for Glory Club before his escape when he ran into a problem with the Police after he lost his partner in questionable circumstances.

He has been prominent in gay and lesbian activities across the Country. He has been one of those activists who criticized and fought against Government policy and all forms of social discrimination against LGBTI, promoting and agitating for Freedom, Equality, and Medical Inclusion for LGBTI members and spreading the agenda of his movement in the Southern part of Nigeria.

He had been suspended from the Muslim Community in Lagos some years ago after revealing that he is a member of the LGBTI and broke the tradition of the Islamic religion when he attended one of the Central Mosques in Lagos State during their Jumuah service with his partner. They publicly kissed and openly displayed their affiliation, love, and support for LGBTI. Investigation revealed that he narrowly escaped the violence after the incident, which many believed would have led to his death.

Mr. Adetunji Onibiyo was lucky to have escaped with his life in several police raids. However, his brother (Late Ibrahim Onibiyo) was not so fortunate as youths beat him in Bariga, Lagos State, when he was caught in the abominable act before he died two days later on November 9, 2019.

A few minutes before Ibrahim died, the quiet-looking trans, who were said to be undergoing the trans process, confessed that his elder brother Adetunji Ismail Onibiyo a leading member of the LGBTI who brought him into the LGBTI Community while staying with him in the Bariga area of Lagos was said to have pleaded for survival.

According to an investigation, the LGBTI fellowship opened by a sensational gay activist A. O. Agho in Ogida and the Q’s Bar and Girls Soho Bar, which recently opened in Egor and Upper Ekenwan Road in Benin City, were shot down as it was reported that is being used for gay and lesbian activities after the police raid. Edo State Police Command claimed that evidence from the crime scene revealed that the Fellowship house and Bars used to advance and promote LGBTI activities. The Police are not leaving any chance to curb the spread and advancement of homosexual activities in the State and Nigeria.

The recent arrest of Oterri Oghaleoghene Mairo, the owner of Freedom Bar in Ethiopia West Local Government Area, shows the preparedness and seriousness of the security to clamp down on homosexual and other LGBTI activities in Nigeria.

Security forces are determined to ensure no hiding place for them or any of their members, and anyone found guilty will face the law of the land. Many LGBTI sympathizers believe that the efforts of the security agencies in apprehending LGBTI members should be channeled into fighting kidnapping, banditry, and terrorism, as they are more of a threat to society than LGBTI activities.

The former President Reuben Ayodele of the LGBTI in Bariga chapter is already facing trials in Lagos State. At the same time, Chiagozi Yvonne Nwudu, who escaped police arrest in Yenogoa, has been re-arrested. The Benin-born Basket Ball lesbian who plays Basket Ball for a Tertiary Institution’s team in Edo State was withdrawn from the team after it was discovered that she was a lesbian; she has done as demanded.

The 24yrs old Basket Ball champion was later re-arrested in the Azagba Community in Benin City after a detective burst into their hideout and scores detained and charged to Court before she jumped Court bail. The Police are still trailing her. In contrast, her partner, who was said to be an international student, Victory, suffered untold hardship in the custody of the Bayelsa Police Command later released for medical reasons when her health began to fail, and she later escaped from the Country.

Dennis Isuwa, a notorious gay activist from Okada town in Edo State; Amabara Amaso, who claimed to be the god of Homosexuality, and Akpotutari Dawari, a front-line lesbian activist in Yenogoa, both from Bayelsa State, are in police detention. The successes recorded so far shows the commitment and dedication of the Nigerian security forces and their determination to stop the rise of Homosexuality and the spread of its activities in Nigeria.

Information revealed that the Police are still in search of Ebide Funkuro, a gay activist who first came open as a gay activist from the Riverine area and declared that Ijaw Nation is for LGBTI and accused the former President of signing a promulgating law that outlaws activities of LGBTI.

Adetunji Ismail Onibiyo, a founding member of the Southern LGBTI movement, was part of the organizer and financial of the LGBTI Conference in South-South in 2006, where the Community youth alerted the Police after they discovered strange activities and faces and persons of a different kind in their Community. In that incident, the Police arrested most of them.

The investigation also revealed that some financial transactions between Oteri and Adetunji to advance the course of LGBTI activities had been discovered using one of the new generation banks. Some bank officials are under investigation to unravel their level of involvement. Adetunji Ismail Onibiyo has been one of the leading supporters, organizers, and sponsors of the Southern LGBTI movement for several years before his escape.

More suspected bars and clubs frequented by LGBTI and worship centers that glorify their activities are being investigated. The Police are appealing to members of the general public to collaborate with them by reporting any public space, including clubs, restaurants, bars, or event centers, used to promote or advance the activities of LGBTI or any other crimes or criminality. Also, the force has promised financial rewards to anyone with valuable information that would lead to the arrest of those on their wanted list.
