Asaba – The Commander, 63 Brigade, Delta State, Brigadier General David Saraso, has expressed the commitment of the military towards implementing its corporate social responsibility to the citizenry.

Brigadier General Saraso stated this in Asaba, the Delta State capital during a cleanup exercise in the area by officers and men of the Nigerian Army as part of Army Day celebration.

Nigerian Observer gathered that, as early as 7. 00 a.m., the military men moved swiftly as they cleared the roads and pavement along the Ogbeogonogo Market, Asaba Delta State.

They came with shovels, brooms, rakes, wheelbarrows and a truck to offload wastes, including traffic officers to ease movement and a military band to stimulate the proceedings.

The 63 Brigade Commander General David Saraso, explained that the objective was to showcase the Army as an instrument of national integration and development.

And we chose to come here to contribute our own little quota in keeping this environment safe and clean” General Saraso said.

According to him, the exercise was part of a weeklong process to celebrate the 2022 Army Day slated between the 1st and 6th July.
