Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Delta State, Hon. Jeffery Mordi has called on Nigerians to vote overwhelmingly for the former Vice President and Presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to rescue the nation from the economic woes and security challenges bedeviling the country.

He made the call in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State while addressing newsmen.

Hon. Mordi, who is the Chief Whip of Oshimili North Legislative Arm, said that PDP administration before 2015 was incomparably better than what President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressive Congress (APC) had brought to Nigerians.

He added that APC in 2014 came with well-coordinated falsehood with their change propaganda to deceive Nigerians.

The chief whip also berated the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, alleging that he was a major shareholder in all the banks Anambra State Government was using when he was the governor of the state.

Hon. Mordi said that now that reconciliation between PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike had reached advanced stage, PDP was a party to beat in 2023, just as he stated that internal family issues within any political party was normal especially in a democratic setting.

While saying that rather than initiating policies geared towards generating IGR in Anambra State, the PDP chieftain noted that Mr. Peter Obi was interested in his personal gains as the governor of Anambra State.

The Chief Whip, however, described Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as a focused leader in all ramifications, adding that the governor who is also the vice Presidential candidate of PDP had achieved so much for the state.

He specifically commended Senator Okowa for his administration’s strides in the development of the State Capital Territory, saying that Okpanam community had benefited immensely from the gesture in both human empowerment and critical infrastructure.
