… as Berger Paints appoints new company secretary.

Zenith Bank, one of the leading tier-one banks in Nigeria, has notified the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), that following the consideration and approval of the group’s audited consolidated and separate financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2022, it will submit the 2022 full year audited financial statement on or before March 1, 2023, subject to approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“Please be informed that the Board of Directors of Zenith Bank at its meeting of Thursday, January 26, 2023, considered and approved the Group Audited Consolidated and Separate Financial Statements for the year ended December 31,2022 and the payment of a final dividend, subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN),” according to a statement released to the NGX.

“The investing public is also being informed through this medium that following the Nigerian Exchange Limited’s circular of January 21, 2022, Zenith Bank Plc has elected not to file the Fourth Quarter Unaudited Financial Statements on January 30,2023,” the bank added.

Zenith Bank paid N2.80 as the final dividend in March 2022 for the financial year that ended Decemebr31, 2021.

Meanwhile, the board of directors of Berger Paints Plc, has announced the appointment of Oluseun Odubela as the new company secretary in acting capacity until the appointment of a substantive secretary. Her appointment followed the resignation of Ayokunle Ayoko, the former company secretary from the firm.

“Oluseun Odubela is a lawyer with over 15 years of experience spanning Company Secretarial, Corporate Law and General Legal Practice. She is a graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria,” Berger Paints stated.

Berger Paints realized N6.32 billion as gross income at the end of December 2022, which was 27.4% higher than N4.96 billion the firm made in similar period in 2021.

Gross profit stood at N2.06 billon at the end of 2022, compared to N1.58 billion realized in similar period in 2021. Profit for the period was N315.57 million as against N135.63 million made as of December 2021.

Berger Paints paid 40 kobo as the final dividend for the 2021 financial year.
