The operatives of the Nigeria Police in Edo State on Saturday arrested a middle-aged man alleged to be a Labour Party agent over facilitating of vote buying.

The incident occured at the polling unit of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo State and APC Senatorial Candidate in Edo North.

Upon a search by security agents, the accused was found to be in possession of a long list of names and bank account numbers of some of the voters in the centre.

A female voter whose name could not be ascertained was said to have raised the alram and the alleged LP agent was promptly arrested.

It was learnt that after luring the people to vote for his candidates, the agent would then transfer money to their account with the help of Point of Sale (POS) machine.
