Delta State has been commended by the World Bank for its strides in the preparation of a work plan for water and sanitation project execution.

The commendation was given by Judith Warmate of the World Bank during a meeting in Asaba with the Word Bank Federal Program Implementation Unit, State Program Implementation Unit, Ministry of Water Resources and Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA).

Warmate, who expressed satisfaction with the presentation of RUWASSA work plan for implementation of Program for Result and Performance Improvement Action Plan, assured of the bank’s readiness to give the state the necessary support to actualize its project implementation.

The General Manager, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, Clement Adiotomre, who is an engineer, expressed satisfaction with the readiness of the World Bank.

Adiotomre said that the agency was equally ready to work tirelessly in the actualization of potable drinking water and sanitation in rural communities in the state.

He enjoined members of staff and relevant stakeholders to continue to work in harmony to smoothen the process while encouraging contractors to be up and doing with program execution.
