Members of Ebua Family Union, Kwale Branch, have commended the Delta State Government, for the appointment of Chief Festus Ochonogor as the Managing Director (MD) of the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) .

In a statement signed by the chairman, Chief Clifford Igbomor, and the Secretary, Tony Ukpe, the group said that Chief Ochonogor was considered for the appointment based on his track records and expressed the confidence in his ability to discharge his duty effectively.

The group congratulated Chief Ochonogor and charged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new office. They described his appointment as the will of God and thanked all those who supported him for the appointment.

The group also thanked God for the successful swearing-in of the state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, saying that Oborevwori was destined to govern Delta State.

They added that the duo had the needed experience to move the state to greater heights, just as they opined that the state would witness tremendous development during the new administration.

In a related development, members of the union expressed their heart-felt gratitude to the Delta State House of Assembly for recalling the Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Chief Obi Nzete, from suspension placed on him.

The group used the medium to commend Chief Nzete on the giant’s developmental strides he had recorded in the area.
