After 21 years of living in disunity, the two quarters of Isagbeme and Ihunmo at Imeogbe Village, Idumuje Unor in Aniocha North Local Government Araa of Delta State, have finally agreed to come together as one indivisible family.

Addressing the two united quarters, one Diokpa Okafor Nwaokolo expressed joy that unity and peace had finally returned to the Imeogbe Village.

He called for patience and love for one another, saying that “love brings peace and happiness, just as peace brings development in any community”.

Diokpa Okafor, therefore, sued for the sustenance of the new-found peace, saying “he that respects the elders gets everlasting life”.

In his remarks, the President-General of the community, Mr Azubuike Nwaokolo, affirmed that he was happy that the peace that eluded the two quarters for over two decades had finally returned during his tenure.

He extolled the youths for their determination and steadfastness in ensuring that peace returned to Imeogbe and thanked individuals who supported in one way or the other for the return of peace to them.

The peace accord session featured general prayers anchored by Pastors Ansari Enuemenem and Sunday Afagwu.
