The people of Ogbe-Udu in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State have commended the state governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, over the appointment of their illustrious kinsman, Goru Karo, into the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).

The President General (PG) of Ogbe-Udu Community, Mr Joseph Eni Mukoro, gave the commendation during the grand reception of Karo at the Ogbe-Udu Primary School.

The PG described the appointment of Karo as laudable and an honour to the people of Ogbe-Udu, adding that it would afford him the opportunity to serve the state government and the area he would be representing meritoriously.

Mr Mukoro also urged Karo to justify the confidence reposed in him and carve for himself a nitch as commissioner in the board by embarking on developmental projects that would benefit the people in the area.

Responding, Karo thanked the people for honouring him, adding that he would do the needful for their uplifting and development of the area.

The occasion was well attended by dignitaries in Udu Communities, including the Udu Council Chairman, Hon. Jite Brown; Hon.David Siloko, Udu People Democratic Party Chairman; Sir Austin Emaduku, and others.
