The Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Dr. S.S. Umar has lauded the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) for its vital role in providing best possible healthcare services to students and staff of the institution.

The continued provision of effective and efficient healthcare delivery services to the tertiary institution, is part of NHIA’s TISHIP (Tertiary Institution Social Health Insurance Program) assessment/validation exercise.

In his address displayed on his verified Facebook page, the Rector, Auchi Polytechnic, while receiving the Ag. State Coordinator NHIA Edo State, Mr. Theodore Osas Enahirre, and appreciating NHIA for its laudable initiative, said: “It is with great pleasure that I welcome Mr. Ehannire Theodore Osas, the State Coordinator of NHIA and his team to Auchi Polytechnic.
“Our meeting is to further firm up areas of collaboration and activation of a number of the services of NHIA in Auchi Polytechnic.”

Dr. Umar further expressed, “We are committed to providing our students and staff with the best possible healthcare services. We believe that NHIA can play a vital role in helping us achieve this goal. We are particularly interested in furthering our working relationship with NHIA in the provision of services to our students and staff such as Health insurance coverage, access to NHIA-accredited healthcare facilities, preventive healthcare services, vaccinations, screenings, Health education, and promotion.

Dr. Umar added, “We believe that these services would be of great benefit to our students and staff. We are confident that our continued partnership with NHIA would allow us to provide these services more efficiently and effectively.
