President Bola Tinubu has officially endorsed the nomination of Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim as the prospective Minister of Youth, a move that signals a strong commitment to empowering the youths in Nigeria.

Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), relayed the President’s message on Sunday while underlying the expectation that she will champion including the values of dynamism, innovation, and unwavering productivity that epitomise Nigerian youths.

Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, a highly accomplished medical doctor, is poised to assume the pivotal role of Minister of Youth. With a remarkable track record, she has previously served as the President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF).

Additionally, she held the esteemed position of Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In line with this announcement, President Tinubu has also nominated Ayodele Olawande to serve as the Minister of State for Youth, pending Senate confirmation. Olawande is a recognized community development expert and a prominent youth leader within the All Progressives’ Congress (APC).

His recent tenure in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023 has equipped him with a strong foundation for this new role.
