The Midwest Tempo award was on Thursday, December 7, 2023 bestowed on select individuals in recognition of their individual strides and positive impact on society.

On hand at the ceremony to receive his award at the function hall of the Prestige Hotel, Benin City, was the Chairman, Taskforce on Internally Generated Revenue, Edo State Internal Revenue Service, (EIRS), Hon. John Osagie Inegbedion, who got the “Agency Manager of the Year” award.

Speaking through his representative and Head, Corporate Communications, EIRS, Mr. Courage Eboigbe, the EIRS chief expressed satisfaction at receipt of the award.

“We feel elated to see the EIRS was selected among other agencies of government.

“The award is dedicated to the people of Edo State, especially taxpayers and to the management of EIRS. We also want to appreciate the organizers of the event. It shows people are watching; especially the fourth estate of the realm, frequently referred to as members of the press, who try to see what is happening at various ministries, departments and agencies- MDAs,” he said.

Pa Etose Dickson Imasogie, who got the “Lifetime Achievement Award” for being an astute farmer and elder statesman, said he was grateful for the award based on his humble beginning. He said that true to his vow to God, he has been guided by the oath and promise to reach out to the downtrodden in society.
