Chairman of Egor Local Government Area, Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia, has concluded the beautification of Uselu Market to give it a facelift and improve the environment for businesses to flourish.
While speaking with the press, Hon. Ogbemudia noted that the beautification of the Egor Market car park would improve the economic viability of the market and the revenue generation of Egor LGA, reiterating her commitment to the people as her regime would bring positive development to the area.
She further noted that her administration would ensure an upward thrust in the development of the local government in all spheres, with particular focus on security and environmental sanitation, adding that the purpose of her government is to serve the people and her impact will be visible in the infrastructural development of Egor LGA.
While addressing traders at Uselu Market, the Chairman urged them to take ownership of the project and ensure high maintenance of the market, advising that refuse be properly disposed of and indiscriminate disposal of refuse be completely shunned, as violators of environmental laws would be adequately sanctioned.
Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia reaffirmed that the Council had employed special aids to clean up roads and trim overgrown weeds around them in order to ensure that Egor LGA remains environmentally friendly, emphasizing that the usual Monday market sanitation had been reinstated with strict monitoring by a task force that would ensure compliance.
She noted that the Edo State government is committed to the reformation of the state and therefore sued for the support of Egor people in the state government’s reformation agenda.
