Edo Queens made a remarkable entry into the CAF Women’s Champions League, overpowering Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC with a 3-0 victory on Sunday at Casablanca’s Larbi Zaouli Stadium.

The Nigerian champions of WAFU B dominated from kickoff, maintaining relentless pressure and capitalizing on early errors by their opponents. Their aggressive start paid off quickly as Folashade Ijamilusi’s skillful run and cross found Emem Essien, who coolly scored in the fifth minute to give Edo Queens an early lead.

Despite attempts by Commercial Bank of Ethiopia to regain control, Edo Queens’ high press kept them contained. In the 54th minute, Ijamilusi doubled the lead with a clinical finish after a clever setup from Esther Moses.
