Traditional head (Odionwere) of Iyohin community, in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, Pa Samson Izevbuwa, has been abducted by armed men suspected to be kidnappers.

According to eyewitnesses’ accounts, the incident, which took place on Tuesday night, threw the area into shock as the gunmen were said to have robbed some inhabitants of the isolated community of their valuables, including a motorcycle.

It was afterwards the armed men proceeded to Odionwere’s house to whisk him away into the nearby bush. This is coming barely one week after Wilson Igbinovia, son of the Enogie (Duke) of Ogan dukedom, His Royal Highness (HRH) George Igbinovia, was kidnapped from his house in the nearby Ogan community.

Igbinovia was subsequently freed by his abductors after they collected N3 million as ransom payment.

“They (armed men) first attacked some people in the Iyohin community; even stole one motorcycle, before they went to the palace (Odionwere’s house).
