The Edo State Commissioner for Education, Dr Paddy Iyamu has been appointed Chairman of the Steering Committee for the 2025 Nigerian Education Forum (NEF), a key national platform designed to address the country’s educational challenges and advance forward-looking solutions.

The announcement of Dr Iyamu’s appointment was jointly made by the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) and the Committee of States Commissioners for Education in Nigeria, underscoring the high level of trust placed in his expertise and leadership within the education sector.

The formal inauguration ceremony of the steering committee took place at the NGF Secretariat located n Abuja. 

The event marked the official commencement of preparations for the NEF summit scheduled to hold in December.

As chairman, Dr Iyamu will lead collaborative engagements involving stakeholders from across Nigeria’s education sector, industry partners, and the private sector. 

His role will be pivotal in shaping strategic discussions and facilitating actionable outcomes aimed at reforming and strengthening the nation’s educational framework.

The Nigerian Education Forum serves as a vital platform for dialogue and policy formulation, and this year’s edition is expected to address critical issues, such as access to quality education, innovation in teaching and learning, and sustainable development goals within the sector.
