BENIN CITY – It was weeping and wailing in the Benin City Metropolis recently as armed thugs suspected to be members of a dreaded cult group, Supreme Eiye Confraternity led by their leader (carpool) known as Oziggy, stormed a popular palm grove estate located at Ekae off sapele road Benin city as eyewitness said they allegedly evicted the original owners of land and beat those who refused to vacate their landed property and inflicted several injuries on the occupants and set the land ablaze with economy trees.
An eyewitness narrated how the suspected armed thugs came to the location and forced some of the original owners of lands and the occupants to evacuate their landed property.
The according to multiple sources who said the situation triggered apprehension in the area and said the injured victims were immediate moved to an undisclosed hospital for quick medical attention, while the suspected hoodlums made their away out of the area unhindered.
This is even as the armed thugs allegedly threatened to staged a come back with a view to eliminate whoever disobey their orders will not remains on the surface of the earth.
According to another source who pleaded anonymous stated that the gang leader Oziggy is untouchable land grabs, that some years back they lost their plot of land to gang leader and his boys, stated that till date, the law enforcement agency has not been able to arrest the prepatrators and said since then justice have not been served, this is after a former report was made to the law enforcement agency.
An elderly man who simply identified himself as one of the landlord affected who gave his names as Mr Osaze idahosa, told our crime desks that all efforts to locate his immediate family have prove abortive, that when Oziggy and his came to the community he was not around, he returned to meet that his property was razed dawn, that he learnt that
members of his immediate family were among those that were killed by Oziggy boys during the attacked.
Another source stated that the only surviving son who was the major target because of his heart spoke, a freedom fighters, he was almost caught by Oziggy, thereafter he was advised to run to unknown destination for safety for fear of unknown, that after the incident no one has heard from him.
As time of filling in this report the whereabout of the only son of Idahosa is unknown.
