BENIN CITY – The Nigeria Police Edo State Command have declared wanted one Imafidon Obayuwana for various offences ranging from community clashes,cultism and other related vices.

According to the a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Edo State command and made available to newsmen, Imafidon Obayuwana was the leader of the gang that led is boys to Obazagbon community in Oredo local government area, Edo State that was recently engulfed in a violent clash over the Community Development Association (CDA) leadership tussle.

A source from the community who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity said that Imafidon Obayuwana elder brother, Sylvester Obayuwana was the former CDA chairman and the current chairman was harassing and threatening Sylvester Obayuwana over his administration of his tenure. Imafidon who is the younger brother of Sylvester also had a running battle with the current CDA chairman, according to the source on May 17,2016, thugs allegedly led by Imafidon invaded Obazagbon community. They were armed with sophisticated weapons. They destroyed and burnt buildings and cars belonging to the other faction about three persons lost their lives.

The source further stated that Imafidon, who is a leader of a notorious secret cult group is from an influential and prominent family in the State. It was also gathered that aside the leadership crisis, which some of the Obazagbon community youths are looking for him, he also have a running battle with members of a notorious secret cult group called Ebutalium Brotherhood Occult. The occult group have vowed to do anything within its power to bring Imafidon Obayuwana to their group or they will eliminate him. Imafidon rejected their offer. They also have been threatening to kill him if he did no join them
It would be recalled that there was a bloody clash at Obazagbon Community in Oredo local government area, Edo State on October 10th, 2014, when some youths loyal to the Community Development Association(CDA) Chairman, High Chief Ogbe Airbuenghan told the Secretary of the CDA, Imafidon Obayuwana to vacant the Secretary’s position because of a land deal he was involved in that went sour.

The bloody clash between the Chairman’s boys and the Secretary’s boys left two persons dead and several properties destroyed. The community had known no peace since the October 10,2014 bloody clash, as the warring factions are still on each other throat.

The police in the signed statement have appeal to the public with useful information that could lead to the arrest of Imafidon Obayuwana to please contact the nearest police station.
